Most lamps wait until you switch them on before they say anything. This one doesn't. The line winds upward in a single continuous curve, catching the light even when it's off, so it reads as a small piece of sculpture long before it reads as a lamp.
Turn it on and the character shifts. Light emerges from the inner edge of the curve rather than pointing at you directly, creating a softer, indirect glow. A switch on the cable lets you choose between three light temperatures, from warm ambient light to a brighter, cooler tone. Brightness adjusts on the same switch.
Choose the tighter spiral for something more sculptural, or the softer S-curve for a quieter presence. Both run on USB, so they plug into whatever you already have on the desk.

My package was destroyed. the lamp inside was broken likely due to the lack of care during the delivery process.

It's what you see in the photo, quite good for the price. The quality of the materials could be improved a bit.
The issue is stability; while in a place with no wind or movement it holds up, because basically it doesn't have a base, it's the LED strip with that shape.
